McHenry Famous Chili and Anthony McHenry Interview – McHenry’s Famous Chili is a homage to Cincinnati-style chili, with onions and beans, served over spaghetti. We use ground turkey instead of ground beef, for less grease and a healthier recipe.
McHenry’s Famous Chili also includes green peppers, mushrooms, and chopped Roma tomatoes.
Anthony McHenry is the CEO of the Milwaukee Academy of Science (MAS) since 2016. Since he has been the CEO, MAS has become one of the area’s top STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) schools in the area.
He is our guest for another installment of “Cooking with Milwaukee Community Leaders”
What is Chili? How does McHenry Famous Chili stack up?
What makes up a pot of chili is open to debate. According to merriam-webster.com, it is a thick sauce of meat and chilies (peppers). Beyond that, it’s up to the chef.
Some say that meat is required and that beans have no place in a true chili. Many cooks include tomatoes, but some say no way to tomatoes. There is the usual tomato-and-pepper red chili, white chili, chili Verde, vegetarian chili, mild chili, and three-alarm fire-breathing chili.
Chili is the official state dish of Texas. However, you make it, I’m sure it is great, just like McHenry’s Famous Chili we are featuring here.

I so prefer using ground turkey for my chilli recipes too. Looks tasty Charlie!
