Grilled Sweet Potato Fries with Sriracha Dipping Sauce – Today we are making one of my favorite summer side dishes – grilled sweet potato fries.
This is a perfect Cooking Secrets for Men technique. We parboil the sweet potatoes whole, cut them into wedges, and then finish them on the grill. I learned this technique from Bobby Flay, one of my cooking idols. When I say I learned this from Bobby, what I really mean is that I watched one of his TV shows and copied his technique.

You begin by par-boiling the sweet potatoes whole on the stove. When they are tender, you slice them into wedges. They are tossed with oil and spices, then grilled. The pre-boil does add a little extra time, but the resulting creamy interior and crisp exterior is absolutely worth it.

And we will be making a Sriracha dipping sauce. The dipping sauce is very easy to make. Combine equal parts of Mayonnaise and Sour Cream. Add sriracha sauce depending on the level of heat you like. Mix together and serve with hot sweet potato fries. This simple dipping sauce is in our E-Cookbook Vol 1 – “Sauces you’ll use – A lot”. It is available for free download at https://cookingsecretsformen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Sauces-e-Cookbook.pdf.

All of our e-cookbooks are available for free download. I will have the links below. And yes, they are totally free to download.

Fun dish
This is one of my favorite ways to prepare sweet potatoes and one everyone should have in their wheelhouse. The sauce sounds amazing.
Loved it, Charlie. Quick and easy and delicious. Keep ’em coming.
I just usually stick sweet potato wedges under my grill in the kitchen. I’ll need to try this method on my outdoor grill!
I stole this from Bobby Flay
