Ravioli Primavera and Sharlen Moore Interview. Ravioli Primavera is a delightful pasta dish that combines the freshness of springtime vegetables with the convenience of frozen ravioli. These Ricotta & Spinach Raviolis are combined with sauteed veggies and a tasty Alfredo Sauce.

Our guest for “Cooking with Milwaukee Community Leaders” is Sharlen Moore. Sharlen was recently elected to Milwaukee Common Council in the 10th District race on the west side to replace longtime Alderman Michael Murphy. Sharlen is also the executive director of the Urban Underground, a nonprofit youth organization in Milwaukee.

Making Ravioli Primavera

Cooking frozen ravioli is a convenient way to enjoy a quick and tasty meal. There are three different methods you can use to cook your frozen ravioli. You can boil them bake them or microwave them. In this recipe, we are boiling them and adding them to an Alfredo Primavera sauce.

Remember to check the package instructions for specific cooking times, as they may vary depending on the brand and size of the ravioli. You will enjoy this Ravioli Primavera.

Ravioli Primavera

Frozen Ravioli Primavera is a delightful pasta dish that combines the freshness of springtime vegetables with the convenience of frozen ravioli.

Equipment

  • 1 pan for boiling pasta
  • 1 pan to saute veggies
  • 1 pan for the sauce

Materials

  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 1 Bell Pepper chopped
  • 8 oz Mushrooms chopped
  • 2 tsp Garlic minced
  • 1 bag Baby Spinach
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp Garlic Powder divided
  • 2 tbsp black pepper divided
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning divided
  • 2 jars Alfredo sauce we used Priano Alfredo Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Old Bay for the sauce
  • 1 tbsp Paprika for the sauce
  • 1 tbsp Garlic Salt for the sauce
  • 2 tbsp pesto for the sauce, from a jar of pesto is fine
  • 1 bag Frozen Ravioli we used (spinach & ricotta ravioli
  • 1 bag Frozen vegetables Broccoli, Cauliflower and Carrots
  • Garlic Bread
  • Parmesan Cheese for serving

Instructions

  • Turn on oven for garlic bread
  • Bake bread according to package directions
  • Heat oil in a large pan

  • Bring a large pan of salted water to a boil
  • Sauté veggies (garlic, mushrooms, onions, peppers, spinach) in the heated oil

  • Season veggies with 1 tbsp garlic powder, black pepper and Cajun seasoning
  • Steam the frozen veggies (on stovetop or microwave)
  • In a separate pan, warm the Alfredo Sauce
    Warm the Alfredo Sauce for Ravioli Primavera
  • To the sauce, add the Old Bay, Cajun seasoning, Paprika, Pesto sauce, Black Pepper, Garlic Salt and Garlic Powder

  • Boil raviolis for about 6-8 minutes
    Spinach Ricotta Ravioli Primavera
  • Combine all the ingredients into a large bowl and fold to combine
    Steamed Veggies into the alfredo sauce
  • Serve with garlic bread and parmesan cheese
