Gee shows us how he makes Turkey Burgers and he is considered a Turkey Burger connoisseur. When it comes to choosing between turkey burgers and hamburgers, there are several factors to consider. Let’s explore the nuances:
Turkey Burgers Nutritional Information:

Ground Turkey: It’s often looked at as a healthier option due to its lower saturated fat content compared to ground beef. Turkey contains more polyunsaturated fat, which is considered beneficial for heart health.
Ground Beef: While ground beef contains slightly more iron and zinc, it also has higher saturated fat levels. A high saturated fat intake is linked to adverse health effects, including higher cholesterol and an increased risk of heart disease.
Protein-to-Fat Ratio: Both ground turkey and beef come in various fat percentages. The key is to consider the protein-to-fat ratio. For instance, 80:20 ground meat is 80% protein and 20% fat.
Ground turkey’s fat profile is generally more favorable, making it a healthier choice, especially if your diet includes a lot of red meat.
Turkey Burgers Taste and Texture:
Turkey Burgers: They can be leaner but may lack the rich flavor and juiciness of beef burgers. But if cooked properly, they are delicious.
Beef Burgers: Known for their taste, they can sometimes be higher in fat.
Seasonings: All you need are granulated garlic, onion powder, kosher salt, and black pepper to complete the flavor profile. That
is the blend we use on these turkey burgers.
In the end, the choice between the two depends on personal preference and dietary goals. If lower saturated fat is the goal, then
a turkey burger may be a healthier choice. However, if having a juicy burger matters more, a classic beef burger might be your choice.
