Korean Beef and Rice Bowls
Korean Beef and Rice Bowls are very easy to make. It is the perfect weeknight meal. Ready in under 30 minutes. We are using ground turkey instead of beef.

- 1 tbsp cooking oil
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 tbsp Chopped ginger
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 1 lb lean ground turkey or ground beef
Sauce Ingredients
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 2-3 tbsp Gochujang or combination of ketchup and Sriracha
- ¼ cup Aloha Hawaiian Hot Chili Honey see notes for substititions
Garnish and Rice
- 2 cups hot cooked Basmati Rice
- 1 red bell pepper diced
- 2 tbsp sliced green onions for garnish
- 1 tsp sesame seeds for garnish
In a large skillet heat the oil, on medium high heat
Sauté the onions and chopped ginger, until softened
Add the garlic and sauté one minute longer
Add ground beef (or turkey) and cook until no longer pink.
In a small bowl whisk soy sauce, sesame oil, ground ginger, Gochujang, and Aloha Hawaiian Hot Honey.
[A substitute for the Aloha Hawaiian Chili Honey is ¼ cup Brown Sugar and ¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes]
As the turkey finishes cooking, pour liquid over the ground turkey and let simmer for another minute or two.
Serve over hot rice and garnish with Red Bell Pepper, green onions and sesame seeds.
A substitute for 2-3 tbsp Gochujang is a combination of Ketchup and Sriracha
