For the BLT
- 1 lb bacon
- 2 tbsp butter for the griddle
- 4 slices of Bread
- 4 tbsp mayo
- 2 Tomatoes from the garden sliced
- 1 head of lettuce
- Salt & Pepper to taste
For The Salad
- 1 Cucumber from the garden sliced and diced
- 1 red onion diced
- Oil & Vinegar dressing
Prepare red onion cucumber salad and set aside. Do not dress the slaad yet
Fry the bacon until the desired crispness is acheived
Set fried bacon saisde on a paper towel to drain any grease
SLice the tomatoes to your desired thickness
Toast the sliced bread on a griddle or in the toaster. Use butter if desired to toast on the griddle
To Assemble the BLT
On one side of the bread, spread mayo generously
In order, please the lettuce, then the sliced tomatoes, and then the bacon.
Place the other piece of bread on the BLT and slice it in half.
Enjoy your BLT with a nice, simple side salad.
