Instructions
Marinate the Steak
Marinate the flank steak for several hours covered in the fridge. Use your favorite or the recipe below
My marinade was Soy Sauce, dry mustard, garlic, salt & Pepper, olive oil
When ready to cook dinner…
Allow steak to come to room temperature before broiling
Pre heat the broiler
While the broiler pre heats, cover an oven pan with aluminum foil
Assemble ingredients for Mushroom sauce – mushrooms, butter, salt & pepper, thyme
Place flank steak in the oven, under the broiler and set the timer for 4 minutes
While the steak is broiling, melt the butter and sauté the mushrooms.
Add salt, pepper and thyme to mushrooms
At the 4-minute mark, turn steak over and broil another 3-4 minutes
Remove from the oven, and fold the aluminum foil over the steak and rest for 5 minutes

115F to 120F for a rare steak, 120F to 125F for a medium-rare steak, and 140F to 145F for medium-well steak.
