- 16 oz tub low fat or fat free ricotta cheese
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1.5 tbsp Splenda or other artificial sweetener
- ½ cup slivered almonds toasted in a pan (no oil)
Toast the slivered almonds in a pan, with any oil
Almonds will brown in 1-2 minutes. Watch to make sure they don’t burn.
In a bowl, whisk together the ricotta, vanilla extract, Almond extract and sugar substitute.
Add toasted slivered almonds to the mixture.
Serve immediately or chill for 2 hours or overnight.
